Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Amazon (Madrid)
Colloquio
Started with the OA, 90 minutes for 1 easy, 1 medium.
Afterwards, culture check - online form. There were some sentences stated and you had two options, most left and most right and you were supposed to choose one. This was based on LPs.
Then an interactive "day at work" where you are played videos and you have to choose dialogue options etc. Answer emails.
Lastly 2 rounds of online interviews. First part is typical soft skills check. I used STAR to answer questions about my experiences. (resolving conflict, something I'm proud of) the second part was LC question and, clean code/refactoring question.

Domanda 1
Here is something not typical. I had one regular LC question (DP coin change problem)
But the second task was uncanny.
- I was asked to design a function that given a directory and a type of a file will return the list of the files matching that type. Then as the interview proceeded more constraints and functionality were added. Basically it was checking my skills on writing code with "bigger picture in mind" and refactoring the solution with changes in the requirements.

The Quick DSA Check: A 20-minute easy question usually means the company treats coding as a baseline filter rather than a tool to stump you. They want to see clean code, good communication, and proper edge-case handling without the stress of a complex puzzle.
The Deep Dive: Spending time on your projects and tech stack allows you to show ownership. Interviewers love to see why you chose a specific technology and how you handle technical trade-offs.
The Behavioral Weight: A full 30 minutes dedicated to behavioral questions means this team deeply cares about culture fit, communication, and how you collaborate under pressure.
