I applied online from the Amazon Career Site and was contacted by Amazon about a week after I had applied. Did a phone call with a recruiter and then went through a two step phone screen. The first phone screen was some of your typical interview questions although they did ask about many of the leadership principles from Amazon. The second phone screen was more on my background and what I had accomplished over the years. At the end of the phone screen and after spending about 30 mins asking questions about the position we decided it was probably not a good fit, although there were other opportunities within Amazon that might be.

I had 5 interviews with various team members and one with a bar raiser. The recruiters were really helpful with setting expectations. The whole process moved really fast and I got to an offer within 2 weeks.
