      Colloquio

TO APPLICANTS: Never stop your job research for that “special” company! I approached the co-founder of the Bending Spoons (there was no official vacancy in Digital Marketing) and asked to have a call to discuss how we can collaborate in Digital Marketing. After the call, we started the hiring procedure which included approximately 9 tests and interviews. The overall structure was the following; Video call interview with the company representative (30 min) Tests round 1 (3 tests, 1-3 hours each one) Tests round 2 (6 tests, 1-3 hours each one) Video call interview with the HR (45 min) The next round was going to be a technical interview where my knowledge in Mobile Marketing would be tested. However, I was informed that the test results were not what they wanted and they couldn’t continue with the next steps with me. The company seems to be nice from outside, however, make sure you don’t stop your job research and dedicate yourself to getting a job there. This was my mistake because from the final feedback I understood that it is 50-50 they might like your solutions and proceed with your application; there is no wrong or right answer but they test how you approach a particular problem. And it is important to note that most of the case studies were not related to Digital Marketing. I think it is not logical to reject a candidate based on these tests considering the fact that the job responsibilities are different from what the tasks require to do. TO BENDING SPOONERS: Put the technical interview first and have different scores for each round. The test-related tasks are not what the applicant is going to do during the job, but the knowledge in Digital Marketing should play a key role.
