Deloitte recruiter contacted me based on an alumni referral. Phone interview was about 30 minutes during which recruiter asked questions on resume, strengths and weaknesses and future career plans. A few days later recruiter said that I would get an invite to an in-person interview with a panel of senior consultants/managers. After weeks of waiting and following-up, an invitation for an interview arrived rather short-notice. During the in-person interview I met with two managers, each one for a 30 minute behavior-style interview. One of the interviewers asked the standard set of questions, such as: describe your actions when you were faced with a difficult situation, how do you work on a team, etc. The second interviewer ran out of questions after I had given an elaborate tmay, highlighting my skills and accomplishments. There appeared to be no coordination between both interviewers, which resulted in many redundant questions. Interviewers were professional but failed to create a welcoming atmosphere. Interviewers seem to conduct interviews back-to-back, which gives sort of an assembly line feeling. Administration of the entire process could be smoother.

It was alright, but I wasn't prepared for the interview. The questions asked were mainly from my resume, and it was actually straightforward questions and if one were to prep a little before the interview it would be easy to crack the interview.

Everything was in person. But now they have online interviews that are recorded. It shows you the Q then gives you 30 secs then you answer

The first interview will generally be a telephonic screening / face to face initial interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team. This is also your opportunity to ask any questions about the role and the firm
This is followed by a face-to-face technical, panel or case study interview with the service line you are applying for. This is an in-depth interview and discussion regarding your technical and motivational fit for the role, team and firm. The number of interviews varies from service line to service line.The final stage will be a meeting with a Partner/Director from the service line you may be joining.
