I went through two rounds of interviews. The first one was with the HR representative and the Lead Designer I was supposed to work with. The interview lasted 30 minutes and included classical questions. At the end, they proposed a design challenge, giving me a week to redesign the homepage of Deloitte Digital.
After submitting the material, I was invited for a second interview where I had the opportunity to present my work. Overall, it went well; they seemed enthusiastic. At the end of the call, they mentioned that they would give me a result by the beginning of the next week.
I then received an email informing me of some delays. I replied, reaffirming my interest, and they thanked me. However, I did not hear back. After two weeks, I decided to ask for an update on my application process and immediately received a rejection email.
I then decided to ask the Lead Designer for feedback to understand where I could have improved, but I was told that they were not able to give feedback. This was disappointing, especially since they had seemed very nice up until that point.

The recruitment process for the UI/UX Designer role at the Deloitte Alexander Competence Center (DACC) in Thessaloniki was highly disorganized and lacked basic professional courtesy. The recruiter was late and rescheduled my interview for two hours later on very short notice. During the actual call, the recruiter appeared visibly disengaged, merely reciting a generic, robotic script rather than fostering a two-way professional dialogue.
Most concerningly, despite a design portfolio being a fundamental requirement for this role, my portfolio analytics confirmed exactly zero visits from Deloitte's network at any point during the process. Evaluating a design engineer without ever reviewing their design work demonstrates a severe disconnect between the Talent Acquisition team and the actual requirements of the technical departments. The process concluded with a generic, automated rejection email, highlighting a complete disregard for the time candidates invest in applying to the firm.
