Poor and left to individuals who have a typical but not adequate training to evaluate you. There are also instances were they employees get rewards if the people that they recommended get hired, so they tend to promote and pass their own people just to make money through this process. As a result you do not stand many chances to get hired irrespective of how good skills you have!!!!

I was criticised in my interview for something already evident on my application, this was later also given as the reason for not receiving an offer. In that sense I feel the (in-person) interview was a waste of time.
