First contact was via email from an offshore recruiter. I then had a phone screen with an offshore recruiter who appeared to be reading from a list. They then set up a call with the hiring manager. I prepared for this interview and showed up to the bridge and no one ever showed. I let the recruiter know and they apologized and said they would get back to me in the next few days. I didn't hear anything for days and followed up only to hear nothing. A few days later another separate offshore person said they had to get the interview feedback to let me know if I would have another (but there was no interview since the person was a no show).
I politely let them know I was no longer interested in a position with the company. The lack of professionalism was actually quite shocking for a company this size. I figured out quickly that if this was handled this poorly, it's likely that the rest of the company ran this way and I was no longer interested.
The EY interview process typically involves multiple rounds, including:
- *Initial Screening*: Resume review and phone/video interview focusing on technical skills and experience
- *Technical Interview*: In-depth assessment of technical expertise, often with case studies or problem-solving exercises
- *Behavioral Interview*: Evaluation of soft skills, teamwork, and fit with company culture
- *Partner/Manager Interview*: Final round discussing career goals, leadership potential, and alignment with EY's values
- *Assessment Center*: Some roles may include group exercises or presentations
The process can vary depending on the role and location. Be prepared to showcase technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and cultural fit. 😊

Recruiter reached out to me in late last year, had a chat with me and was very keen to have me apply for the role. At that point, I wasn't looking for a new role, neither had I applied for anything. My experience and skillsets matched what they were looking for.
After I had applied for it, the recruiter reached out to clarify a piece of information on my CV and that was it. Silence, and after a month, reached out to say that the hiring manager was wanted to find out whether I was still interested in applying for the position. I indicated my interest and EY went silent again, despite my attempts at following up 2 weeks later.
It has been more than 3 months since the chat, but nothing heard further. It was a poor follow-up even if they didn't want to consider my application anymore. Could have been better if they were upfront about what they wanted to do and notify me if I had been dropped from their consideration.

The EY interview journey generally starts with online assessments evaluating aptitude. This is followed by multiple interview rounds: behavioral to gauge your fit and values, technical to assess your expertise, and case studies to test problem-solving. Often, a final partner interview occurs. The process meticulously focuses on your skills, cultural fit, and analytical abilities. Overall, it was a structured, insightful experience, and I'd highly recommend it for those seeking a challenging and rewarding career.
