Got a call from one of vendors hiring for EY via naukri and interview was scheduled. Panel just asked one question (problem solving) when answered straight solution he requested for more optimized one. After that he told if im unable to answer that maybe we should disconnect the call.
That's not any way to behave with candidates, You cannot just decide with one question whether someone is fit for the position or not. Please respect everyone's time and don't take interview for time just pass.

Interviewer mentioned to use some data structure type to optimize the approach apart from normal approach which i couldn't find anywhere later as well.

Its a terrible interview process for lateral hires. I had to give online test which I cleared. The technical panel was so self centered that was not interested in my answers and started to grind me straight for 20 mins just for hearing the answer they wanted to hear. And this was just the fist question. Interviewers job is to evaluate and not to impose things on candidates.
