TERRIBLE INTERVIEW. First two phone interviews were great, but the third was downright rude, defensive, immature, and totally off-putting. I asked about a few responsibilities that were outlined on the job description, only to be told "we don't do that in this role", "i dont know where you got your information", "you need to show me where you saw that" in a defensive, angry way which obviously set the interview in a bad direction. this was surprising as my first two interviews had gone by incredibly well. if anything, i was a bit overqualified for the role but willing to make a switch for a better company culture and potential future opportunities. the final phone interview, which was with a person vacating the role, made me feel attacked for reading the requirements of the job and berated for thinking the role actually did the things the job description outlined.... as a talent acquisition professional myself, it was the worst example of interviewer behavior i've ever encountered. there's no better way to turn away top talent than to turn an interview into an attack. so much for being among the "best places to work"... maybe gartner should invest in interviewer training and prepare interviewers with the job descriptions for their open roles before they ruin the candidate experience for more folks.

It started off really well. The recruiter was approachable and friendly and the questions overall were typical ones you'd expect. I did feel the recruiter I spoke to was a little unorganised because she didn't send the link to her calendar, I had to chase her after she said she'd send an invite for the next stage etc. and these little things change the overall experience. After having gone through 3 rounds of interviews, they completely ghosted me. I emailed twice to ask when I'd hear back from them as it had been 2-3 weeks but I still didn't hear back so I just assumed I wasn't successful. I think this really affected my perception of the company because it was very positive up until that incident. Had they gotten back to me to tell me the outcome, I would have at least left on a good note.
