Standard interviewer screen. Initial coding screen with engineer on the team. Then virtual on-site spread over several days with HM, and two other very senior engineers. The two engineer calls were a project deep-dive, and systems design exercise asking me to design a microservice architecture for a e-commerce platform. Due to time zones (I’m PT, two of them were Amsterdam time IIRC) I had to get up very early three times, once for a no-show. After investing all that time I got basiclaly one sentence feedback saying that the systems design exercise didn’t show enough experience. It is completely unclear to me what I missed and where. After all the time I invested in this process I deserved better. I’m never applying for a job with GoDaddy again.
