Colloquio
So many phone interviews. They are just purposely delaying the process; Looks like they want to interview the whole Bay Area before making a decision. They are also purposely taking a long time to respond in between interviews. This to me indicates that they are not meritocratic, but rather full of their own biases and egos.
The recruiter for DS manager role was very rude. She tried to establish herself by rudely responding to candidates emails. Linkedin , by design, is making money from candidates but they have to fix their own interview process starting with the right recruiters. Also, the data science team is very homogenous. They accept one type of profile. I feel like they don't welcome diversity in skills and appearance. The chat with the hiring manager was great. I was sure she was impressed but, sometimes you are not chosen since you are really good and can be a treat to her in the future. Glad that they rejected me though; they are looking for a soldier, not a leader even if its a leadership role.

Domanda 1
SQL, business case, and behavioral. The questions do not really measure DS abilities of the candidates.

Initial phone screen with an IC - asked mostly behavioral questions, was supposed to ask Sequel, but for some reason did not. No follow-up from the recruiter after. Only giving thumbs up because the interviewer was nice.

Phone interview with recruiter. She probably had a bad day or so as she was very weird and rude. She also does not respond when email. Someone should remind her that she is working for Linkedin as being rude, and not responding to candidates should not be allowed in companies like Linkedin who is making money from this industry
