This was quite honestly, one of the worst interview processes I've ever had. The recruiter was incredibly difficult to communicate with, as it took her 3-12 days to respond to my emails. She's in the UK, but rather than took on Zoom or any other of the many video conferencing platforms, she would only accept a phone call. Again, she's in the UK, so I incurred a $103 fee in addition to my already high cell phone bill, just t speak with her. We got disconnected. She did NOT call me back; I had to and incurred the fee. I don't understand why she insists on calling instead of doing a FREE video call? Or an audio-only video call? The next interview was with two people, some of the questions they asked were irrelevant, as I already answered them when describing my experiences. The lady from Scotland was super nice though. The recruiter DID NOT get back to me until 2 week later to say they already found a hire. LIES. This was in June and early July, yet I STILL TO THIS DAY keep getting emails from Google and LinkedIn job alerts about this job. I asked for feedback; it took the recruiter a week to respond to this request. She then just gave me a generic "there are stronger candidates" response. She even asked if I wanted specific feedback. Again, she then gave me none. This was awfully frustrating, I wasted so much time preparing and waiting to be responded to and got no concrete answer. Why couldn't she just email me the first or second weeks to tell me I won't be moved forward?? Why force people to have international calls when we have access to so much free video conferencing software? I don't understand how she still has a job.
