AWS has an amazingly talented set of senior engineers who provide quality mentoring. Despite what old reviews might say, you can, in fact have work life balance at Amazon. I have two children under the age of 5, my spouse works, and we have a life. Moreover, Amazonians are there to help you learn how to find that balance.

If you are used to being the best, you won't be at AWS because many of the best of the best are there. Some people thrive this environment as they love learning from their peers. Others finding it too intimidating.
