Averaging 60-70 hours a week means lower than a typical 40-50 hours a week. - Attrition: Amazon has an attrition problem at all levels. This means that productivity goals for those remaining continue increasing. - Pathways Attrition: Extremely high. Many pathways are poached by other companies, quit due to the poor work/life balance or due to the poor culture - Company Culture: Amazon has more than a cutthroat culture. It is a company that thrives on contrived conflict amongst its employees. Collaboration is useful after the gladiatorial conflict session is over and the survivors have been determined.
