While you are only one person in a large company you will find it easy to meet others and they do a good job of helping you feel like part of the team.

The excellent starting pay may not increase as much as you would like it too after working there for a while. If your team is small expect to be on call a lot and when you are on call expect there to be a lot of problems and little sleep.
