Interesting job, One can work independently. European management is better. Gartner's clout in the market is great.

Pay sucks, too many e-mails, over-matrixed management. Management has completely lost touch with the del-vered product -- the analysts. My income increases only 4% a year. Before Gartner it was 10+%. The only way to make money is to be a road warrier. Having a research manager half way around the globe is a pain in the butt. Gartner is now to big and addicted to vendor revenue. Buying Dataquest was a mistake. I have new boss every year, sometimes more.
