Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
Why gender equity and inclusion is important to Hitachi Improving gender equity and inclusion means empowering women across our organization to access opportunities to fulfill their potential, ensuring an inclusive environment and equitable processes, to have the right person in the right place. IWD is just one moment where we can bring focus to this, but it’s important we take action for gender equity all year round and ensure the right people in the right roles based on merit and capabilities. Only by doing this, and supporting all colleagues, we can deliver on our mission to contribute to society. #IWD2025 #HITACHIRAIL

The HMAX platform offers a leap forward as live data collection is combined with powerful AI technology to dramatically enhance the speed, ease and depth of analysis. 18th October is WORLD MENOPAUSE DAY. Let's talk about the menopause... Lots of us know menopause can cause a variety of symptoms but do you know the impact menopause can have on heart health? To help educate us about the impact of heart health and open up the conversation around menopause, we invited Nigel Denby, an award-winning dietician to a virtual session 17th October to talk about: What’s going on during menopause that can affect Heart Health? What might be impacting this through diet and nutrition? What symptoms might someone notice and when to seek further help and support? What can be done to support a healthy heart during menopause? Programs such as these are a part of our well structured wellness strategy, BeWell. We are committed to being a Menopause friendly employer.
World Mental Health Day is observed on 10th October and provides a good reminder to concentrate on our Mental Wellbeing, as well as our Physical Wellbeing. The World Health Organization definition of Health considers health as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." At Hitachi Rail we’re committed to the wellbeing of all our people so we can be at our best wherever we are and whatever we’re doing. Our BeWell program is a global framework for local delivery, it provides a flexible, company-wide wellbeing approach to help our sites create their own wellbeing plans. BeWell addresses Mental Health through creating an environment where everyone feels supported to take care of their mental wellbeing.
